Working Dog First Aid

When out in the field, dogs can face a number of minor to potentially life threatening injuries. It is vital that handlers have a basic knowledge of first aid should an emergency arise.

Our Ofqual regulated & CPD accredited dog first aid courses are full day workshops guided by a visual presentation with practical bandaging and CPR sessions using training aids.

Our working dog course is based on our original dog first aid course but tailored to working dogs, covering the common ‘in the field’ emergencies. Available as CPD accreditation or the enhanced iPET Level 3 Award in Canine Emergency First Aid.

We use a range of ‘real life’ working dog scenarios, photographs and videos during our workshop combined with experience and discussions to enhance your learning and understanding of each topic.

Working dog courses are taught by Amy Fletcher RVN CertVNECC. An experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse with additional small animal emergency & critical care qualifications with extensive knowledge and experience in dog first aid. Amy also has years of exerience working with and handling working dogs.

Please visit the ‘dog first aid course’ page for more information and to access the full syllabus.
