Hosting a Course
Are you Interested in hosting a course?
We offer private group courses to dog clubs and pet businesses across Northern England, and may be available to travel further afield upon request.
To host a course, we require that you have access to a room of a sufficient size with chairs (and tables if available) for theoretical work, on the floor practical activities and for a projection presentation to be set up. Toilet facilities must be available for student use. It is preferable that dogs can enter the premesis. If you do not have access to a room, please discuss this with us and we can help find a suitable room hire close by.
A minimum of 10-12 students are required.
We are an accredited CPD provider with The CPD Group and a registered training provider for iPET Network who are an awarding organisation regulated by Ofqual, CCEA regulation and Qualifications Wales who specialise in qualifications of the canine and feline sector. This allows us to deliver our courses as either CPD accreditation (this is recommended for pet owners who do not require a formal qualification) or the enhanced Ofqual regulated iPET Level 3 Award in Canine First Aid which lasts for 3 years and meets the higher standard rating licencing requirements for persons working in the canine sector.
–
Our level 3 course runs over approximately 8 hours which includes theory work, bandaging practicals and CPR training on our specialist manikins. All materials are provided and each student receives one of our first aid guides.
–
We also host working dog specific first aid workshops, which are based on our original course but tailored to suit working dog owners and the common ‘in the field’ emergencies.
–
We ask that you advertise the course on our behalf and we will supply an electronic poster. The course and your business will be advertised on our social media platform, both Facebook and Instagram and will be scheduled on our website.
